Our
methods of training
§
establish full understanding of anti-discrimination laws, including
risk/impact assessing and monitoring issues, plus attitudinal and behavioural dimensions of Diversity,
eg, handling of sensitive attitudes, team
tensions, harassment.
§
draw on small
group exercises, questionnaires, handouts, documentary DVD evidence used
interactively, simulations and role-plays, checklists for action planning – all
customised to an organisation’s culture and current policies
§
produce powerful
side effects as team-building exercises – engaging full ownership of the
objectives. We handle constructively any defensive mixed feelings managers or
staff bring to Diversity. We do not confront people: we help people confront
the professional issues. We provide the practical
skills for managing diversity.
§
act as stimulus
to on-going informal learning both as individuals and as teams.
§
are designed consultatively
and collaboratively with in-house Training Departments, HR managers,
Departmental Heads, EO Committees, Advisory Groups, to customise content and
method and to optimise long-term effectiveness.
